About The Author
Bible prophecy   From 1974 and until he passed away in June of 2005, Frank Caw devoted a considerable amount of time to research and study in Bible prophecy and related philosophical and theological issues. This website is dedicated by his family to his memory and work and is as he presented it at the time of his death. The family of Frank Caw, Jr. would like to thank Tim McHyde of EscapeAllTheseThings.com for hosting his website.

While always insisting on a plain, literal and sensible approach to scriptural exegesis, he has pieced together many new scriptural insights on a number of extraordinary prophetic developments that are poised to be fulfilled in our immediate future!

Thus, it is safe to say that things are not going to happen the way many people think they will happen.

But, this book will give you the scriptural keys for truly understanding what God has preordained will happen, and how you can survive the incredible scenario of prophetic events about to unfold!

Why Jesus Won’t Come Back in 2011 (Or Anytime Soon)

An Ipsos poll in 2006 found that 25% of adults believed it was at least "somewhat likely" that "Jesus Christ will return to Earth" in the coming year. Among white evangelical Christian adults, a whopping 46% believed this. Yet four years later Jesus still has not returned. Want to know why Jesus did not come in 2007, or any year since then and still won't come in 2011 (or anytime soon)? »» Read Featured Article

Revelation 17:1-18
1 And there came one of the seven angels which had the seven vials, and talked with me, saying unto me, Come hither; I will shew unto thee the judgment of the great whore that sitteth upon many waters:

2 With whom the kings of the earth have committed fornication, and the inhabitants of the earth have been made drunk with the wine of her fornication.

3 So he carried me away in the spirit into the wilderness: and I saw a woman sit upon a scarlet coloured beast, full of names of blasphemy, having seven heads and ten horns.

4 And the woman was arrayed in purple and scarlet colour, and decked with gold and precious stones and pearls, having a golden cup in her hand full of abominations and filthiness of her fornication:

5 And upon her forehead was a name written, MYSTERY, BABYLON THE GREAT, THE MOTHER OF HARLOTS AND ABOMINATIONS OF THE EARTH.

6 And I saw the woman drunken with the blood of the saints, and with the blood of the martyrs of Jesus: and when I saw her, I wondered with great admiration.

7 And the angel said unto me, Wherefore didst thou marvel? I will tell thee the mystery of the woman, and of the beast that carrieth her, which hath the seven heads and ten horns.

8 The beast that thou sawest was, and is not; and shall ascend out of the bottomless pit, and go into perdition: and they that dwell on the earth shall wonder, whose names were not written in the book of life from the foundation of the world, when they behold the beast that was, and is not, and yet is.

9 And here is the mind which hath wisdom. The seven heads are seven mountains, on which the woman sitteth.

10 And there are seven kings: five are fallen, and one is, and the other is not yet come; and when he cometh, he must continue a short space.

11 And the beast that was, and is not, even he is the eighth, and is of the seven, and goeth into perdition.

12 And the ten horns which thou sawest are ten kings, which have received no kingdom as yet; but receive power as kings one hour with the beast.

13 These have one mind, and shall give their power and strength unto the beast.

14 These shall make war with the Lamb, and the Lamb shall overcome them: for he is Lord of lords, and King of kings: and they that are with him are called, and chosen, and faithful.

15 And he saith unto me, The waters which thou sawest, where the whore sitteth, are peoples, and multitudes, and nations, and tongues.

16 And the ten horns which thou sawest upon the beast, these shall hate the whore, and shall make her desolate and naked, and shall eat her flesh, and burn her with fire.

17 For God hath put in their hearts to fulfil his will, and to agree, and give their kingdom unto the beast, until the words of God shall be fulfilled.

18 And the woman which thou sawest is that great city, which reigneth over the kings of the earth. (KJV)

Mystery Babylon, the evil, scarlet-clad woman, represents a very specific religious system which is existent during all seven biblical world empires, and is dominated by Satan for the following scriptural reasons:

First, playing the part of a symbolic whore (as in verse 1) ALWAYS refers to religious fornication (i.e., unfaithfulness) and idolatry. (Rev. 17:1-4) (Isaiah 23:17) (Isa. 57:3-7) (Jer. 3:2-9) (Ezek. 16) (Ezek. 20:30-32) (Ezek. 23:7-49) (Hos. 4:12-19) (Nahum 3:4). In this instance, the symbolic religious whore entices the nations of the earth to commit spiritual fornication, thereby proving she is a religious entity who exerts influence over the nations of earth through the power of religion. (Rev. 17:2).

Likewise, the symbolic whore represents Satan’s “church,” in a manner of speaking, or pagan religious influence, because she holds a golden cup, full of her UNCLEANNESS and ABOMINATIONS with which she entices people into committing religious fornication. (Compare: Ezekiel 23:29-33). In fact, from the very beginning, the Babylonian religion has intoxicated the nations of earth through religious fornication or unfaithfulness: “Babylon hath been a GOLDEN CUP in the Lord’s hand, that made all the earth drunken: the nations have drunken of her wine; therefore the nations are mad.” (Jeremiah 51:7).

Her apparel identifies her as a religious system that is committing spiritual fornication with all of the nations through the lure and enticement of religious whoredoms and idolatries. (Rev. 17:4). The purple, and scarlet, and precious stones, and pearls, and golden vessels all serve to indicate the tremendous financial wealth possessed by this system. (Compare: Ezekiel 23:40-41).

Her name, “Mystery Babylon,” identifies her with the religious ritual and pagan occult mysteries of the ancient Babylonian cult. This particular pagan cult was the beginning of Satan’s church, and it was concerned primarily with sorceries, witchcraft and astrology! (Gen. 10:8-10) (Gen. 11:4) (Isa. 47:12, 13). Historically, this symbolic religious whore came into existence when the rebel Nimrod built a city in defiance of God and named it Babel. Then as the late Rev. Alexander Hislop documents in his classic book, The Two Babylons, this ancient Babylonian cult, started by Nimrod and his beautiful queen, Semiramis, spread among all of the nations. The objects of worship in this cult were the Supreme Father, the Incarnate Female, or Queen of Heaven, and her Son. This cult also claimed the highest levels of wisdom and divine secrets, and engaged in the practice of numerous mysterious rites.

The prophetic portrayal of the scarlet-clad woman sitting on the beast that has seven heads (i.e., mountains; empires) proves that she dominated, or will dominate, each of the biblical world empires portrayed in the Bible as an oppressor of Israel. Thus, she dominated the ancient Assyrian Empire (Nahum 3:4); the Egyptian Empire (Exodus 7:11, 22) (Exodus 8:7, 18) (II Timothy 3:8); the Babylonian Empire (Daniel 2:2); and the Persian Empire, which held occult beliefs; and the Grecian Empire, where many ancient temple sites dedicated to idolatry still remain; and the Roman Empire, which likewise was dominated by idolatries and occult pagan beliefs and rituals. Furthermore, the seventh world empire (i.e., the empire of the Antichrist) will be no exception. It also will be dominated by idolatry, astrology, sorceries, witchcraft, drugs, and demonology.

Her title, “Mother of harlots and abominations of the earth,” clearly dispels any doubt that she heads a poisonous combination of evil religious systems and spiritual abominations which she has spawned and inspired! In other words, the numerous false cults and religions and idolatrous practices which she has inspired throughout the world are represented by the symbolic “harlots” in this prophetic portrayal, whereas the symbolic “Mother,” herself, represents the specific religious system which has perpetuated the gross abominations of the ancient and mysterious Babylonian cult beliefs and rituals down throughout history. Therefore, Mystery Babylon does not represent any specific, visible, religious organization that existed during the time of all the ancient biblical world empires. Instead, it is a very specific thought-system of pagan and occult beliefs and rituals that dominated the religious beliefs and activities of each biblical world empire. Accordingly, it is incorrect to say that Mystery Babylon represents the Roman Catholic Church as some people believe. However, it is true that the Roman Catholic Church has been the primary manifestation of Mystery Babylon, for hundreds of years, because it is a mixture or syncretism of biblical Christianity and the ancient, mysterious Babylonian pagan beliefs and rituals. Finally, the word “abominations” in the Christian Bible not only refers to the spiritual whoredoms and idolatries that are associated with demonology, but it also refers to sorceries and witchcraft of all kinds, and to astral religions that involved the worship of the sun, the moon, and the stars:

Deuteronomy 18:9-12
9 When thou art come into the land which the LORD thy God giveth thee, thou shalt not learn to do after the abominations of those nations.

10 There shall not be found among you any one that maketh his son or his daughter to pass through the fire, or that useth divination, or an observer of times, or an enchanter, or a witch,

11 Or a charmer, or a consulter with familiar spirits, or a wizard, or a necromancer.

12 For all that do these things are an abomination unto the LORD: and because of these abominations the LORD thy God doth drive them out from before thee. (KJV)

Deuteronomy 32:16-17
16 They provoked him to jealousy with strange gods, with abominations provoked they him to anger.

17 They sacrificed unto devils, not to God; to gods whom they knew not, to new gods that came newly up, whom your fathers feared not. (KJV)

II Kings 17:9-12, 15-17
9 And the children of Israel did secretly those things that were not right against the LORD their God, and they built them high places in all their cities, from the tower of the watchmen to the fenced city.

10 And they set them up images and groves in every high hill, and under every green tree:

11 And there they burnt incense in all the high places, as did the heathen whom the LORD carried away before them; and wrought wicked things to provoke the LORD to anger:

12 For they served idols, whereof the LORD had said unto them, Ye shall not do this thing...

15 And they rejected his statutes, and his covenant that he made with their fathers, and his testimonies which he testified against them; and they followed vanity, and became vain, and went after the heathen that were round about them, concerning whom the LORD had charged them, that they should not do like them.

16 And they left all the commandments of the LORD their God, and made them molten images, even two calves, and made a grove, and worshipped all the host of heaven, and served Baal.

17 And they caused their sons and their daughters to pass through the fire, and used divination and enchantments, and sold themselves to do evil in the sight of the LORD, to provoke him to anger. (KJV)

Deuteronomy 4:16-19
16 Lest ye corrupt yourselves, and make you a graven image, the similitude of any figure, the likeness of male or female,

17 The likeness of any beast that is on the earth, the likeness of any winged fowl that flieth in the air,

18 The likeness of any thing that creepeth on the ground, the likeness of any fish that is in the waters beneath the earth:

19 And lest thou lift up thine eyes unto heaven, and when thou seest the sun, and the moon, and the stars, even all the host of heaven, shouldest be driven to worship them, and serve them... (KJV)

II Kings 21:1-7
1 Manasseh was twelve years old when he began to reign, and reigned fifty and five years in Jerusalem. And his mother's name was Hephzibah.

2 And he did that which was evil in the sight of the LORD, after the abominations of the heathen, whom the LORD cast out before the children of Israel.

3 For he built up again the high places which Hezekiah his father had destroyed; and he reared up altars for Baal, and made a grove, as did Ahab king of Israel; and worshipped all the host of heaven, and served them.

4 And he built altars in the house of the LORD, of which the LORD said, In Jerusalem will I put my name.

5 And he built altars for all the host of heaven in the two courts of the house of the LORD.

6 And he made his son pass through the fire, and observed times, and used enchantments, and dealt with familiar spirits and wizards: he wrought much wickedness in the sight of the LORD, to provoke him to anger.

7 And he set a graven image of the grove that he had made in the house... (KJV) (Compare: Ezekiel 16).

Deuteronomy 17:2-5
2 If there be found among you, within any of thy gates which the LORD thy God giveth thee, man or woman, that hath wrought wickedness in the sight of the LORD thy God, in transgressing his covenant,

3 And hath gone and served other gods, and worshipped them, either the sun, or moon, or any of the host of heaven, which I have not commanded;

4 And it be told thee, and thou hast heard of it, and enquired diligently, and, behold, it be true, and the thing certain, that such abomination is wrought in Israel:

5 Then shalt thou bring forth that man or that woman, which have committed that wicked thing, unto thy gates, even that man or that woman, and shalt stone them with stones, till they die. (KJV)

Deuteronomy 23:5
5 Nevertheless the LORD thy God would not hearken unto Balaam; but the LORD thy God turned the curse into a blessing unto thee, because the LORD thy God loved thee. (KJV)

Deuteronomy 29:17
17 And ye have seen their abominations, and their idols, wood and stone, silver and gold, which were among them: (KJV)

Jeremiah 19:13
13 And the houses of Jerusalem, and the houses of the kings of Judah, shall be defiled as the place of Tophet, because of all the houses upon whose roofs they have burned incense unto all the host of heaven, and have poured out drink offerings unto other gods. (KJV)

Jeremiah 8:1-2
1 At that time, saith the LORD, they shall bring out the bones of the kings of Judah, and the bones of his princes, and the bones of the priests, and the bones of the prophets, and the bones of the inhabitants of Jerusalem, out of their graves:

2 And they shall spread them before the sun, and the moon, and all the host of heaven, whom they have loved, and whom they have served, and after whom they have walked, and whom they have sought, and whom they have worshipped: they shall not be gathered, nor be buried; they shall be for dung upon the face of the earth. (KJV)

Zephaniah 1:4-5
4 I will also stretch out mine hand upon Judah, and upon all the inhabitants of Jerusalem; and I will cut off the remnant of Baal from this place, and the name of the Chemarims with the priests;

5 And them that worship the host of heaven upon the housetops; and them that worship and that swear by the LORD, and that swear by Malcham; (KJV)

As noted in the scriptures above, the people of Israel were often rebuked and condemned by God for committing many different types of spiritual and demonic abominations, including idolatry, which usually involved the worship of Ba-al, the Moon-god. In fact, the most wide-spread religion of the ancient world was the worship of the Moon-god, and archeologists have uncovered thousands of inscriptions and artifacts and temples dedicated to the Moon-god throughout the entire Middle East area. From the very beginning, the ancient Sumerians worshipped a Moon-god who was known by many different names, including Nanna, Suen and Asimbabbar. Moreover, the crescent moon was used to symbolize their Moon-god, and based upon the very large number of artifacts which describe their worship of him, it was apparently the dominant religion in Sumeria. Eventually, the Assyrians, and the Babylonians, and the Akkadians took the word “Suen” and changed it to “Sin” as their favorite name for the Moon-god. Likewise, in ancient Syria and Canna, the Moon-god Sin was usually represented by the crescent moon, and the sun-goddess was his wife, and the stars were their daughters. In like manner, the crescent moon can also be found on seal impressions, pottery, amulets, clay tablets, wall murals, earrings, necklaces, etc., throughout the ancient world.

Furthermore, a vast array of archeological evidence demonstrates clearly that the dominant religion of Arabia was also the cult of the Moon-god. Thus, the Islamic Muslim god, Allah, originally began as a pagan deity, i.e., the Moon-god, who was married to the sun goddess, and whose daughters were the stars. By the time Muhammad appeared, not only was Moon-god worship still active, but it was actually the dominant religion among the Arabs. According to numerous inscriptions, while the name of the Moon-god was Sin, his title was al-ilah, i.e., “the deity,” meaning that he was the most important god among the gods. However, the title, al-ilah, eventually was shortened to Allah during pre-Islamic times. When the popularity of the Moon-god cult subsided everywhere else throughout that region of the world, the Arabs remained loyal to their belief that the Moon-god was the greatest of all gods. So, although they worshipped 360 gods at the Kabah in Mecca, the Moon-god continued to be their supreme deity in a pantheon of deities until Muhammad converted them to monotheism.

The Columbia Encyclopedia, Sixth Edition, in its article covering Middle Eastern religions, makes the following comments:

“Probably the most important of the Middle Eastern religions was that which was developed by the peoples of Mesopotamia (i.e., the Sumerians, the Babylonians, and the Assyrians). These peoples, besides spreading their influence, absorbed contributions of the Hittites, the Phrygians, the Ugarites, and the Phoenicians...

“The highest authority was the triad of gods: the sky god Anu, the storm god Enlil, and the water god Ea, or Enki. Later a second triad arose: the moon god Sin, the sun god Shamash, and the goddess Ishtar...

“There was a gradual development among the Middle Eastern cultures toward belief in a supreme god. One of the most widespread cults was that of the mother goddess (Inanna, Ishtar, Astarte, Cybele; see Great Mother Goddess)...”

Dr. Arthur Jeffery, one of the foremost Western Islamic scholars in modern times, and professor at Columbia University, makes the following comment: “The name Allah, as the Quran itself is witness, was well known in pre-Islamic Arabia. Indeed, both it and its feminine form, Allat, are found not infrequently among the theophorous names in inscriptions from North Africa.” (Islam: Muhammad, and His Religion, New York: The Liberal Arts Press, 1958, p. 85).

According to renowned Middle East scholar E.M. Wherry, in pre-Islamic times Allah-worship, as well as the worship of Ba-al, were both astral religions in the sense that they involved the worship of the sun, the moon, and the stars. (A Comprehensive Commentary on the Quran, Osnabruck: Otto Zeller Verlag, 1973, p. 36).

The late Rev. Alexander Hislop researched this entire matter very carefully and extensively during his lifetime, and in his classic book, The Two Babylons, summarized quite succinctly how the ancient, mysterious Babylonian cult spread its evil influence among most of the religions and empires and countries around the world:

“The Babylonians, in their popular religion, supremely worshipped a Goddess Mother and a Son who was represented in pictures and in images as an infant or child in his mother’s arms. From Babylon, this worship of the Mother and the Child spread to the ends of the earth. In Egypt, the Mother and the Child were worshipped under the names of Isis and Osiris. In India, even to this day, as Isi and Iswara; in Asia, as Cybele and Deoius; in Pagan Rome, as Fortuna and Jupiter-puer, or Jupiter, the boy; in Greece, as Ceres, the Great Mother, with the babe at her breast, or as Irene, the goddess of Peace, with the boy Plutus in her arms; and even in Thibet, in China, and Japan, the Jesuit missionaries were astonished to find the counterpart of Madonna and her child as devoutly worshipped as in Papal Rome itself; Shing Moo, the Holy Mother in China, being represented with a child in her arms, and a glory around her, exactly as if a Roman Catholic artist had been employed to set her up.”

In like manner, the Columbia Encyclopedia, Sixth Edition, makes the following observation regarding the “Great Mother Goddess”:

“In ancient Middle Eastern religions, mother goddess, the great symbol of the earth’s fertility. She was worshiped under many names and attributes. Similar figures have been known in every part of the world... The later forms of her cult involved the worship of a male deity, variously considered her son, lover, or both (e.g., Adonis, Attis, and Osiris), whose death and resurrection symbolized the regenerative powers of the earth (see fertility rites). Although the Great Mother was the dominant figure in ancient Middle Eastern religions, she was also worshiped in Greece, Rome, and W Asia. In Phrygia and Lydia she was known as Cybele; among the Babylonians and Assyrians she was identified as Ishtar; in Syria and Palestine she appeared as Astarte; among the Egyptians she was called Isis; in Greece she was variously worshiped as Gaea, Hera, Rhea, Aphrodite, and Demeter; and in Rome she was identified as Maia, Ops, Tellus, and Ceres. Even this listing, however, is by no means complete. Many attributes of the Virgin Mary make her the Christian equivalent of the Great Mother, particularly in her great beneficence, in her double image as mother and virgin, and in her son, who is God and who dies and is resurrected.”

Mystery Babylon is said to be drunk “with the blood of the saints, and with the blood of the martyrs of Jesus.” Even a brief, cursory analysis will show that the pages of history are full of bloody accounts which portray Christians dying for Jesus at the hands of relentless religious persecutors! Most notably, the literary classic work, Fox’s Book Of Martyrs, descibes in vivid and graphic detail how countless numbers of Christian believers were obscenely tortured to death using all kinds of unspeakable and horrendous methods of execution.

Revelation 17 concludes by stating that “the woman which thou sawest is that great city, which reigneth over the kings of the earth.” Right now that city is Rome and has been for centuries, but it has not always been so. Historically, as noted previously, the symbolic religious whore came into existence when the rebel Nimrod built a city in defiance of God and named it Babel. This was the beginning of the ancient and mysterious Babylonian rites which have dominated the major biblical world empires, including the Roman Empire.

In 63 B.C., Julius Caesar became the head of the Roman branch of the Babylonian Cult, and several other Roman emperors held the office until 376 A.D. when emperor Gratian, a Christian, refused to accept the position because he knew that the Babylonian religious cult was idolatrous. However, in 378 A.D., Demasus, bishop of the Christian church at Rome, was elected to the headship of the cult, and from that point on, the Babylonian cult and organized Christianity gradually merged into one unified system. So, by the time that “Christianity” became the official religion of the Roman Empire, innumerable pagan rites and doctrinal beliefs had already been adopted into the Roman Church in order to make it seem more familiar and acceptable to the various tribes and groups of people living throughout the vast empire. (See The Two Babylons by the late Rev. Alexander Hislop; and A Woman Rides The Beast by Dave Hunt.) Thus, the Roman Catholic Church, headquartered in Rome, has been the current manifestation of Mystery Babylon for centuries even though many of its members are very good and decent people who have simply been deceived by their ecclesiastical leadership and grandly-perceived tradition.

However, during the very last days, the literal rebuilt city of Babylon will once again become the headquarters of Satan’s church. (Rev. 17 and 18) (Jer. 50:4-9) (Jeremiah 51:4-8) (Rev. 16:19) (Isa. 13) (Isa. 47:9-13). In fact, as we discussed earlier, Zechariah even describes how “Mystery Babylon” will literally fly (by some type of aircraft) from Rome to the rebuilt city of Babylon to establish a new religious headquarters:

Zechariah 5:5-11
5 Then the angel that talked with me went forth, and said unto me, Lift up now thine eyes, and see what is this that goeth forth.

6 And I said, What is it? And he said, This is an ephah that goeth forth. He said moreover, This is their resemblance through all the earth.

7 And, behold, there was lifted up a talent of lead: and this is a woman that sitteth in the midst of the ephah.

8 And he said, This is wickedness. And he cast it into the midst of the ephah; and he cast the weight of lead upon the mouth thereof.

9 Then lifted I up mine eyes, and looked, and, behold, there came out two women, and the wind was in their wings; for they had wings like the wings of a stork: and they lifted up the ephah between the earth and the heaven.

10 Then said I to the angel that talked with me, Whither do these bear the ephah?

11 And he said unto me, To build it an house in the land of Shinar: and it shall be established, and set there upon her own base. (KJV)

“Ephah.” The ephah basket measured at about one bushel and three pints. Accordingly, in this biblical prophecy, the basket symbolizes the economic and financial system that will support and undergird the empire of the Antichrist. Moreover, because it carries the wicked woman inside of it, the combination of these two symbols represent the close alliance and collaboration that will exist between the economic and religious systems within the empire of Antichrist. That is why we should not be surprised to see the rebuilt city of Babylon become the religious headquarters for the Antichrist while also functioning as a center of world trade and commerce during the “time of the end.” Evidently the melding of financial power and religious power and influence, combined with the miraculous abilities and prestige of the Antichrist, will simply overwhelm the sensibilities and intellectual honesty of most people. Thus, the rebuilt city of Babylon, the economic system, will coexist with Mystery Babylon, the religious system, at the same geographical location in modern-day Iraq.

“Wicked Woman.” As we discussed in the above paragraphs, the symbolic “wicked woman” represents the mysterious ancient Babylonian beliefs and rituals that dominated, or will dominate, the seven biblical world empires that oppress Israel at various times throughout her history. Because Satan is super intelligent and quite devious in his methods, these vile and mysterious pagan and occult beliefs and practices dominated the religious beliefs and activities that prevailed in the ancient biblical world empires. Since it is more difficult for people, generally, to discern the true nature of false religious beliefs if they are blended in with significant amounts of perceived truth, that is precisely the strategy which Satan frequently employed, and will employ, to deceive people spiritually.

“Talent of Lead.” A talent of lead weighed over 122 lbs., which was an extreme amount of weight for a lid covering the top of an ephah basket. Even so, despite the unusually heavy weight of the lid, that still did not hold the “woman of wickedness” down, thus illustrating the power of evil.

“Two Women.” It is possible that the “two women” who carry the “wicked woman” to Babylon represent two major world religions, perhaps Islam and “professing” Christianity consisting of Roman Catholicism and mainline Protestant denominations.

“Wings.” The “wings” probably refer to the mode of travel employed when the “wicked woman” is transported to rebuilt Babylon, i.e., air-travel by modern airplanes.

As further corroboration of our interpretation of Zechariah 5:5-11, a careful analytic comparison of both Revelation 17 and 18 establishes the singular fact that “Mystery Babylon” (i.e., Satan’s church) and the city of Babylon will be located geographically at the exact same place near the time of their final and complete destruction. Here are excerpts:

Revelation 17
The judgment of the great whore that sitteth upon many waters: With whom the kings of the earth have committed fornication (spiritual unfaithfulness).... and I saw a woman sit upon a scarlet coloured beast, full of names of blasphemy....

And the woman was arrayed in purple and scarlet colour, and decked with gold and precious stones and pearls, having a golden cup in her hand full of abominations and filthiness of her fornication:

And upon her forehead was a name written, MYSTERY, BABYLON THE GREAT, THE MOTHER OF HARLOTS AND ABOMINATIONS OF THE EARTH.

And I saw the woman drunken with the blood of saints, and with the blood of the martyrs of Jesus... And the woman which thou sawest is that great city.... (KJV)

Revelation 18
For all nations have drunk of the wine of the wrath of her fornication, and the kings of the earth have committed fornication with her, AND THE MERCHANTS OF THE EARTH ARE WAXED RICH THROUGH THE ABUNDANCE OF HER DELICACIES... Come out of her, my people, that ye be not partakers of her sins....

Therefore shall her plagues come in one day, death, and mourning, and famine; and she shall be utterly burned with fire: FOR STRONG IS THE LORD GOD WHO JUDGETH HER.

And the kings of the earth who have committed fornication and lived deliciously with her, shall bewail her, and lament for her, when they shall see the smoke of her burning, standing afar off for the fear of her torment, saying, alas, alas, that great CITY Babylon, that mighty CITY....

And the MERCHANTS of the earth shall weep and mourn over her; for no man buyeth their merchandise any more: The merchandise of gold, and silver, and precious stones, and of pearls.... and SOULS OF MEN....

Alas, alas, that great CITY, that was clothed in fine linen, and purple, and scarlet, and decked with gold, and precious stones, and pearls....

And cried when they saw the smoke of her burning, saying, what CITY is like unto this great CITY.... for thy merchants were the great men of the earth; FOR BY THY SORCERIES WERE ALL NATIONS DECEIVED. And in her was found the blood of prophets, and of saints, and of all that were slain upon the earth. (KJV)

Eventually, very near the time of Armageddon, “Mystery Babylon” will be destroyed by the Roman Empire countries who will hate her and despise her. (Rev. 17:16).

In conclusion, the scriptural evidence clearly indicates that Antichrist will control a very powerful and influential religious system which will enable him to foist a devastating religious deception upon all of humanity! Thus, the only solid defense against such deadly spiritual deception will be accurate biblical knowledge and tremendous intellectual honesty.
